However, if you’d like to name the category to something else, for example “hot_news”. Then follow the steps below:
1. Open header.php, find this line <?php $featured=’featured’; ?> just below the <body> tag
2. Change it to <?php $featured=’hot_news’; ?>
# About the Images:
We use custom fields to display the image of the Top News and 5 Featured News.
1. All the images should be saved to /redevo_newsred/featured-images directory for later use.
2. For the Top News image: The size should be 280px wide and 210px high.
While editing your post, Find “Custom Fields”, and fill in
1) Key: news_image
2) Value: (fill in the file name of the image, such as image.jpg)
2. For the Featured News image: The size should be 126px wide and 80px high.
While editing your post, Find “Custom Fields”, and fill in
1) Key: featured_image
2) Value: (fill in the file name of the image, such as thumb.jpg)
# About the Ad:
It’s in the ad.php file, feel free to open ad.php and change it to anything you’d like.
Ideally it should be 300px wide.
